Dakota Blue Richards is an English actress known for portraying Lyra Belacqua in the film "The Golden Compass" and Franky Fitzgerald, who is part of the third generation cast of British teen drama 'Skins'. Also, she has a lengthy tradition of appearing on stage in stage plays like 'Arcadia' and A Streetcar Named Desire. Richards was a Londoner at birth, lived on her home on the Sussex coast. Richards attended a few drama classes in school, but she attended the bulk of her acting lessons during the weekends. She would skip school in order to audition. The film was her debut an actor. Richards performances were hailed by many people, despite the film receiving mixed responses. She made her television debut that year, in the documentary Dustbin Baby.
