Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s was accepted. She was able to survive with the stipend she received from her students while working part time jobs. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and was contemplating a different direction she would take. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 as a member of the group called Dragons Playground. But she quit before her band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. She sang lead to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her solo debut album Diva, which was released by 1992. This album became a huge success as well as sales and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo that was released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. This C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's most loved soul, jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now I'll Let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. The latter part of the 70s was when she gained a little fame when part the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992 through her debut album Diva. It included a number of well-known songs, including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and Why. Medusa an album from her studio, which was released in 1995, features the versions of a few of her most popular songs including No MoreI Always Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Six studio albums by her solo, plus one compilation album the result of her efforts.
